About

This fall marked two milestones  – both children now in high school and for the first time in forty years, not back to school for me.  Rather than teaching full- or part-time at St. Anne’s School of Annapolis,  I am on sabbatical this year to focus on writing, consulting for Responsive Classroom and teaching some yoga.  After many years of good fortune of wondering alongside children at independent schools in Massachusetts, New York and Maryland, I’ve hit the pause button and will gratefully spend this time recalibrating, reflecting, and re-dedicating myself to my avocation for working with children, families, and teachers.  (And a lot more sleep and rest!)

I love your site, and yes, looks like we might have a similar way of thinking about children. Thanks for your comments on my new blog!
